Why Clean up !!

Over a period of time, every Windows installation builds up junk that takes up space and wastes resources. It's easy to neglect regular maintenance, so often the problem comes from old files and programs.

If you don't clean your computer, before long you'll encounter low disk space warnings and notice it slowing down. In addition, the following points in this article will help you to understand better:

1. Temporary Junk Windows 10 accumulates temporary files in your disk, and requires regular removal to avoid slowing down of the system.

2. Disk Cleanup If you've recently updated to a new major version of Windows 10, you'll see a Previous Windows installation(s) entry. Deleting these files will remove the old files Windows keeps that allows you to easily go back to an earlier version. You should not do it of your own as any wrong step also disables the option of resetting your PC via Settings.

3. Uninstall Big Programs Under Program Files (and/or Program Files (x86) on 64-bit Windows), you'll find files for most of the apps you have installed. If you don't use some of these anymore just uninstall them.

4. Windows 10 Bloatware Most store-bought computers come loaded with worthless manufacturer bloatware that wastes space and duplicates functionality already in Windows. In addition, Windows 10 itself includes some junk apps you probably never use. Removing bloatware from your system is an important part of Windows 10 cleanup

5. Tidy Your Desktop Even after you've cleaned up your computer, a messy desktop can still confuse you and make it harder to work efficiently. Many people use their desktop as a temporary storage space, leading to all sorts of files getting scattered across it. Resetting your desktop to a clean state to make it neater and move all the files from your desktop to another location. Next, create shortcuts of files you need all the time on your desktop.

6. Fake Cleaning Apps While we're discussing Windows 10 cleanup, it bears mentioning that you should be careful what software you download. While the above steps are all legitimate ways to clean your PC, you'll find many scammy "PC cleaners" online that are totally worthless. These tools provide a "free scan" that finds thousands of "issues," which absurdly count every cookie on your computer as a "privacy risk." Then they demand you pay a good amount of money to actually "clean" anything up.

7. System integration check The system integrity checks assures that the system performance is optimum at all times and there are no crashes or risk to your valuable data.

8. Disk Defragmentation Whenever you copy, download or delete the data from your PC, the hard disk starts clogging up and creates dead spots, ultimately slows down the performance of the applications. Your hard disk will be filled with more holes than a wedge of Swiss cheese. This effect is called “fragmentation,” and it can drastically slow down your PC. Defragmenting the hard disk at regular intervals and re-indexing will certainly improve the system response time.

9. Updation of Firmware What is Firmware? It’s a specific class of computer software that provides the low-level control for a device's specific hardware. This is never a part of someone’s activity, but updation of firmware certainly improves the system’s efficiency. Needless to say that this updation should not be tried of your own, as this is an activity that can be done by expert technicians only. Any experiment with this updation may permanently damage your hardware.

10. Event Viewer The Windows Event Viewer shows a log of application and system messages, including errors, information messages, and warnings. It’s a useful tool for troubleshooting all kinds of different Windows problems.

Note that even a properly functioning system will show various warnings and errors in the logs you can comb through with Event Viewer. Scammers even use this fact on occasion to deceive people into believing their system has a problem only the scammer can fix. In one infamous scam, a person claiming to be from Microsoft phones someone up and instructs them to open the Event Viewer. The person is sure to see error messages here, and the scammer will ask for the person’s credit card number to fix them.

Events are placed in different categories, each of which is related to a log that Windows keeps on events regarding that category. While there are a lot of categories, the vast amount of troubleshooting you might want to do pertains to three of them:

• Application: The Application log records events related to Windows system components, such as drivers and built-in interface elements.

• System: The System log records events related to programs installed on the system.

• Security: When security logging is enabled (it’s off by default in Windows), this log records events related to security, such as logon attempts and resource access.

The Event Viewer is designed to help system administrators keep tabs on their computers and troubleshoot problems. If there isn’t a problem with your computer, the errors in here are unlikely to be important. So, clearing these events is also a good step to keep the system free from all errors.

11. AppData When you launch and run any application or browse the web, this activity creates temporary files. For example, Spotify creates dozens of temporary cache folders in C:\Users\Sandro Villinger\AppData\Local\Spotify\Storage if you listen to music. This data may be in several Gigabytes. Cleaning this data at a regular interval is a good practice.
These temporary files save you from needing to redownload a song each time you listen to it. This is helpful in theory, but over time, this type of data adds up, and many applications tend to leave it there.

12. Clean up your startup programs to boost PC startup time and performance Every time you turn on your PC, it will automatically launch various applications as it boots up. Some of these startup programs are necessary, such as your antivirus tool or OneDrive for file synchronization, but a lot of them aren’t. You can speed up your PC’s startup time by preventing some of these programs from opening right away. Let’s perform a quick system cleanup to disable or even remove unwanted startup programs.

Don't bother with this nonsense. These activities shall be done by our expert and trained technicians as a part of subscription.

After you've cleaned up Windows 10 and your desktop, you'll feel like you have a whole new machine.

It is strongly recommended that you must opt for a subscription plan for regular maintenance and checkup of your devices. This ensures your identity and data protection that is as important as taking insurance to take care for your loved ones.
